Why We Are Here and What We're Going To Do
Are you like my clients who come to me when life, or their feelings about life, changes? And the more you think about it, you find it isn't easy to accept?
It could be the loss of a loved one, or a change in a relationship, your career, health, home or a friendship. And together with all of life's responsibilities, everything can feel overwhelming.
And then you come across the term 'self-care' and decide to look a little deeper into what this concept is all about.
You're told self-care is vital, non-negotiable, essential. Perhaps you've even dipped your toe in, read a few articles, or scrolled through some inspiring posts. You've seen the analogies – "put your own oxygen mask on first" or the "you can't pour from an empty cup." And for a moment, it clicks.
But then, that subtle shift happens. The practicalities kick in. You start thinking about your schedule, your responsibilities, and your never-ending to-do list. The analogies suddenly feel flimsy. You start to think:
"Okay, but that just sounds selfish, doesn't it? My family/team/clients need me. How can I justify taking time away from them?"
"This feels overwhelming. There's so much advice out there – meditation, journaling, yoga, healthy eating, setting boundaries, getting enough sleep... How am I supposed to do all of that perfectly? It's just adding more to my already bursting plate."
And then, the worst part: you might even start to feel a deep, heavy guilt just for thinking about prioritising yourself. It's that familiar, unwelcome weight that settles in, whispering that you should be doing something else, something "more productive," something for someone else.
But what if self-care wasn't about feeling guilty or proving your worth, but about effortless integration into your daily life?
No more internal battles. Just natural, consistent care that leaves you feeling recharged, present, and ready for anything. That's the power of effortless, guilt-free self-care.
Imagine the difference you can make to your life, and to all who you care about when you begin to care for yourself that's effortless and guilt free.
So to get there, here's what you'll learn:
- Why you're here, what are the big moments of your life that have shaped you, who you are, and what do you want to achieve (simple questions, not so easy answers!)
- How to become self-care aware - so you know where you have been prioritising your needs, and what you have been saying to yourself.
- How to remove self-care guilt.
